Founded in 1968, the St. Andrew's Society of Williamsburg is a social society whose mission is to perpetuate awareness and appreciation of Scottish history, traditions and culture and the contributions of Scotland and Scots to local, regional and national development, to promote social intercourse and cooperation among its members, and to support Scottish heritage and welfare through appropriate charitable contributions and educational scholarships to individuals, groups and organizations who have applied to and been approved by the Society for assistance to engage in activities that support local charities.

In short, we want to celebrate our heritage, share our traditions, and embrace our Williamsburg community.

We hope this website helps you get to know us: learning about our organization, getting a flavor for the types of events we hold rich in Scottish tradition, understanding our role in our community, and reviewing our requirements for membership. And by the end of that exploration, we hope that you will consider joining us.... whether you have Scottish blood in your veins or not. 

Special Announcement -- Burns Night Celebration is Now Open to Members AND non-Members!

We are pleased to announce that, starting in 2027, the Saint Andrew's Society of Williamsburg annual celebration of Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns will be open to members and non-members alike, as well as their guests!

The event will be held on Saturday, January 23 at Colonial Heritage Club.  Doors open at 5:00pm.

Join us for an evening of traditions, pipes & drums, a fantastic whisky raffle, social times with friends, an exciting auction and, of course, dancing!  Don't forget the delicious dinner, including a wee dram for toasting, cock-a-leekie soup, haggis with neeps and tatties, ending with a delicious sticky toffee pudding!

Come and join us for a truly Scottish experience!  Cost for members and member guests is $100 per person.  The cost for non-members and their guests is $125.  We request that you RSVP to Jan Hruz at [email protected] by January 14th, with your name and the names of your guests so we can keep track of attendees.

We regret that walk-ups cannot be accommodated.
