The Saint Andrew's Society of Williamsburg is not just a social club, we are also members of the Williamsburg community. We support our community by promoting Scottish heritage through involvement, visibility, and giving. Actively participating in local events, the Society fosters cultural awareness and strengthens community ties. Through scholarships and grants, it provides financial assistance to students and organizations that align with its mission, ensuring the preservation and celebration of Scottish traditions. By maintaining a strong presence and engaging in charitable efforts, the Society upholds its commitment to education, cultural enrichment, and community support, making a lasting impact on Williamsburg and beyond.

The objectives of the educational scholarship and grant program of the Saint Andrew's Society of Williamsburg, Virginia, are:

  • To encourage and promote the study of the history, traditions, and culture of Scotland,
  • To highlight the contributions and influence of immigrant Scots in the development of the United States; and
  • To promote, foster, undertake, and encourage research, education, and the dissemination of information concerning the history of Scots and their traditions and culture.

To further these objectives, the Society has established the Ken Graham Educational and Charitable Fund. The Fund provides financial support through Scholarships, Grants, and Donations. To learn more about each scholarship and apply, select a button below:

FOUNDING OF THE KEN GRAHAM EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE FUND

Kenneth Graham was the President of Saint Andrew’s Society of Williamsburg in 1979, and a leader during its first decades of existence.  After his death, his wife Tommie, established the scholarship fund in Ken’s memory.  She also donated a large sum to help start the scholarship fund.
